tonga immersion
10-17th October 2026
A therapeutic retreat in AND with Nature
Far enough away for the pace of daily life to loosen its grip.
Space to breathe. Perspective to return.
BlueDot’s Tonga immersion is a small, carefully held therapeutic experience - a retreat in the truest sense, weaving Nature-led therapy, local culture and community, and time in the presence of humpback whales
the PLACE
The islands of Vava’u sit at the edge of the Pacific.
Here, the cobalt ocean deepens quickly. Horizons widen. Days are shaped by the light, tide, and weather rather than by schedules.
Phones quieten. Time stretches.
Nature does much of the work.
Meet the Guides
-
People are often drawn to Tonga, and to meet the whales, at particular moments in life. Some arrive during times of transition or fatigue, seeking space to reset and reconsider what no longer feels quite right. Others feel a quieter pull - a sense that Nature, adventure and retreat may offer perspective, clarity and healing.
This immersion is designed for those ready to step away from the pace and demands of modern life, and with the practical capacity to travel to Tonga, spend time on boats and in the ocean, and engage in outdoor, nature-based therapeutic work. It asks for a willingness to slow down, be present, listen carefully, and work with what emerges.
This immersion is not a substitute for medically directed treatment or acute clinical care. Readiness and timing matter.

The Tonga experience unfolds across three connected phases:
Before
A preparatory 1:1 ecotherapy session to clarify intentions, readiness, and rhythm.During
Therapy in Nature, on land and sea, held in relationship with place, community, and culture. A blend of solo and shared experiences, with space for awe, reflection, rest, and renewal. After
A three-month integration program, offered through online and in-person group sessions to consolidate insights, skills, and personal learning. -
The group is intentionally small, and held with safety and care for both the individual and the collective.
No prior group or Nature experience is required. Curiosity about relationships, and a capacity to listen, to be with others, and to be with oneself is important.
You will be supported and guided by our team throughout. As with all work in Nature, conditions and weather can change, so it helps to be adaptable.
An open heart, a sense of adventure, and a willingness to learn and engage in the experience are essential.
Readiness & TIMING
What happens next?
If this is resonating - and you’re curious to learn more, the next step is a focused conversation where we can explore whether this is the right fit, and the right time for you.
A detailed preparation and welcome pack follows confirmation.
